At this time the only hope for our nations future is prayer.
We have gone astray from the Word of God and we are paying for it…. literally.
There is no easy way out of this financial crisis.
We have lived beyond our means as a nation for far too long.
Only prayer will help our nation regain its footing.

A JEW WHO LOVES JESUS
For ten years from 1975 until 1985, I seriously thought I was the only Jew in the world who believed Jesus was the Messiah. It was not until 1985 when a friend told me he knew a Jew who believed as I did. I remember being extremely relieved to know that.
Then a few years ago, I heard a serman by Lon Solomon, a Jewish Believer who is the Pastor of a large influential mega church in the Washington DC area called McLean Bible. He preached in his weekly radio sermon, that when he accepted Jesus Christ back in the early 70’s, he thought he was the only Jew in the world who believed in Jesus.
When I realized that Lon Soloman and I shared a similiar experience, I was not only amused, but realized Jews who believe in Jesus are now mainstream. Well not exactly. I read recently that the number of Jews who accept Jesus as the Jewish Messiah, comprise only 1% of all Jews, but that 1% is indeed a blessed group. As a member of that 1% minority of a minority group, I understand the social struggles and family conflict that comes with that divine knowledge and blessing. However, to know the truth, when that truth means you are labeled a traitor to your people, making you The Black Sheep of the Family, can lead to many uncomfortable moments. Personally, I could fill a book with tales of my Jewish family conflict since 1975. All of it belongs on a sit com, which I shall enjoy sharing with readers on future blogs.
Standing firm in my faith and love of Jesus, I enjoy questioning the other 99% of Jews.
One of my favorite questions is; Why was Jesus born Jewish? The answers over the years have been amusing, but my favorite answer was, “Jesus wasn’t Jewish.. but you are entitled to your opinion.”
My second favorite (after telling a Jewish client that he should read the Old Testament prophecies regarding Jesus) he said; “You may be right about Jesus but I can not believe in him because my Rabbi would kill me and my wife would murder me.”
Perhaps that answer best illustrates why only 1% of Jews are believers in the Jesus the Jewish Messiah.

This is the first Jesus Store Blog. We started this blog because we wanted to provide a platform to get to know our customers, and a prayer blog where prayers can be offered up. At this time my husband David Adams is visiting Ethiopia on a mission trip with his Christian organization, Cross International. So I ask for your prayers to keep him safe, and for the success of his mission.
